Pay: $30.00 - $43.00 per hour DOE
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, day shift.
- Some Saturdays as needed.
- 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with fabrication and production teams to develop mechanical and structural designs from initial concept through completion.
- Use CAD software to create 3D models and create design specifications including detailed drawings for use in design and production.
- Lead testing and validation of designs as needed to verify functionality, quality, and compliance.
- Participate in material selection, manufacturing methods, and coordinate with suppliers throughout the process.
- Assist with material selection, manufacturing processes, and supplier coordination.
- Provide technical support to production and quality teams.
- Improve existing designs based on customer feedback and performance needs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably related to welding systems or industrial equipment.
- Proficient in CAD platforms such as Solid Works, Auto CAD, or comparable design software.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop practical design solutions
Capable of managing work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Portfolio highlighting relevant design work, projects, or technical accomplishments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Advanced degree in Welding Engineering or similar field is a plus.
- Experience using engineering analysis tools such as FEA, CFD, or other simulation software.
- Working knowledge of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with common welding methods and metal forming processes.
- Experience working with product lifecycle or data management systems (PLM/PDM).
- Solid understanding of material behavior, metallurgy, and how it applies to welding and fabrication.
