Full-time, Monday–Sunday (must be available between 7 am – 10 pm)
• $17.50 p/h to start

• 40 hours per week; weekend and holiday availability is required
Duties:
• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of Ada County boating facilities and equipment, including docks, ramps, and day-use facilities
• Competently and safely assist in boating operations, including docking, towing, and related maneuvers while following proper boating safety procedures
• Perform a variety of maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools and motorized equipment, including welders and forklifts
• May drive county vehicles and assist with the operation of county vessels/boats
• May assist with trails and grounds maintenance
• Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Boater experience, including operation of motorized vessels, preferred
• Skill in the use of hand and power tools preferred
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and simple fractions for inventory purposes
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
• Ability to provide positive customer service to the public
• Ability to operate motor vehicles safely
• Must possess a valid Idaho driver’s license
• Ability to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and working in awkward positions
• Ability to negotiate hazardous or uneven terrain, including rough, rocky, slippery, or unstable surfaces
• Must be able to carry tools and equipment and handle heavy or bulky items safely
