Pest Control Field Tech-Protect Community and Land  

    Excellent opportunity with the County Abatement Division
    Long-term, full-time, seasonal role lasting up to 9+ months
    Day shift, Monday- Friday
    $17.50 per hour to start
    INCREASE IN PAY ONCE LICENSED!
    Paid training and licensing
    $100 sign-on bonus after completing your first 40-hour work week

Duties:

    Identify pest activity and target species
    Mix and apply pesticides/rodenticides safely and in compliance with regulations
    Document treatments, locations, and product usage
    Review chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
    Operate application equipment, tools, and GPS/mobile devices
    Monitor and maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas
    Navigate outdoor environments and perform field work
    Handle pest removal as needed
    Safely operate county vehicles
    Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

    Valid driver’s license with good driving record
    Held a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
    Ability to obtain pest control license within 30 days (paid training provided)
    Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
    Be drug-free
    Pass a background check
    Basic math skills for mixing applications
    Ability to follow labels, SDS, and work orders
    Comfortable using mobile devices and GPS
    Able to work independently and as part of a team
