Full-time, varying day shifts (must be available between 7 am – 10 pm)
• $17.50 p/h to start!
• Seasonal long-term position with Ada County starting in April!
• Weekend and holiday availability is required
Duties:
• Move tables and chairs to set up events at Barber Park Event Center
• Clean windows, fixtures, restrooms, and empty trash to ensure the facility is clean and organized
• Prepare the Event Center for move-in by cleaning and stocking supplies
• Inspect equipment for damage after use and check against inventory lists
• Perform basic maintenance of the Event Center, grounds, and public facilities
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain grounds including mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning bushes, and landscaping
• Apply herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers as needed
• Follow all workplace and job-specific safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform other related functions as assigned
Requirements:
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in facility maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of landscape and grounds maintenance practices
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Ability to operate equipment and light motor vehicles safely
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with co-workers and the public
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients and patrons
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships and demonstrate discretion and tact
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and moving furniture
• Ability to work a non-standard schedule including weekends and holidays
