Scale House Attendant

Position Summary

Personnel Plus is now seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scale House Attendant. In this role, you will operate truck scales, accurately record weights and transactions, assist truck drivers, and provide excellent customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and prepare accurate scale tickets.

• Operate truck scales to determine load weights and volumes.

• Direct truck drivers to the appropriate loading and unloading areas.

• Enter transaction and customer data accurately using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Maintain accurate records and filing systems.

• Answer customer questions in person and by phone with professionalism and urgency.

• Ensure truck drivers comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced work environment during peak seasons.

• Must be comfortable working alone at times.

• Frequent interaction with truck drivers, customers, and team members.
