Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Truck Scale Attendant is responsible for operating inbound and outbound truck scales, accurately weighing loads, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 16–20 hours per week. This will be on an as-needed basis- must be willing to be on call to help with fillings when full-time employees are out sick or on vacation. Must be able to work days or graveyard 12 hr shift.
Pay: $16/hour
Key Responsibilities
Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and prepare accurate scale tickets
Operate truck scales and maintain daily transaction and accounting records
Direct truck drivers to appropriate loading and unloading areas
Accurately enter transaction data and customer information into designated systems
Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Communicate effectively in person and by phone with customers and team members
Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic business math and data entry skills
