Personnel Plus, Inc. is now hiring County Highway District CDL Drivers in Boise, Idaho

Our client, a local Highway District, is seeking experienced CDL Drivers for its Broom and Chip Seal/Maintenance crews. These are full-time seasonal positions lasting eight months or longer. Paid training on sweeper-truck operation is provided.

Pay and schedule: Starting at $20/hour. Work four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional earlier start times may be required. Enjoy three-day weekends throughout the summer!

Available crews:

Broom Crew

  • Drive a 10-wheel dump truck to haul and dispose of waste and debris collected by sweeper trucks

  • Operate a sweeper truck to clean Ada County roadways

  • Complete paid training on sweeper-truck operation

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Chip Seal/Maintenance Crew

  • Drive a 10-wheel dump truck to haul and unload asphalt chips

  • Back the truck up to a moving chip-spreader box and connect it for loading

  • Operate a roller and assist the ground crew as needed

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • Valid Idaho Class A CDL for the Chip Seal/Maintenance Crew

  • Valid Idaho Class A or Class B CDL for the Broom Crew

  • Good driving record

  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew

  • Ability to follow Highway District processes and instructions

  • Commitment to following all safety policies and regulations

  • Ability to safely and professionally operate trucks and equipment

  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts outdoors in varying weather conditions
